Student Therapy & Counselling
Managing Stress, Anxiety, and Academic Pressure
Being a student can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between deadlines, exams, and figuring out your future, the pressure can take a toll.
Maybe you struggle with procrastination, feel like you’re never doing enough, or constantly compare yourself to others. Some days, it might feel like you’re just trying to keep up.

Therapy Approaches
Therapy offers tools to help you stay focused and manage stress.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Develop strategies to manage anxiety, perfectionism, and self-doubt.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Build emotional regulation skills to navigate high-pressure situations with confidence.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): Find actionable steps to improve motivation, organization, and decision-making.
Person-Centered Therapy: Explore your goals and challenges in a space where your experiences and emotions are fully acknowledged.
Integrating these approaches in our therapy sessions can help you feel more in control of your studies, relationships, and future.
Does My Insurance Cover Counselling?
If you have extended health care benefits (such as Blue Cross, Sun Life, or another provider), you likely have some coverage for counselling with a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your specific coverage. Many providers list coverage details on their websites.
After each session, I’ll provide you with a receipt that includes all the necessary information for reimbursement, as required by your insurance provider.
